Berry Kefir Smoothies/Popsicles
Ingredients:
Kefir (homemade preferred)
strawberries
blueberries
ground flax seed
After experimenting with kefir smoothies, you will get a taste for how much of each ingredient you'll need. I just make a big kefir smoothie (5 large servings) and pour some of it into popsicle molds. For this I would use about 1 quart of kefir, 1 cup organic strawberries, 1 /2 cup blueberries, 1/4 cup ground flax seed. Put this in your blender and blend away! There is no need for sugar in this, but if you must, add a little raw honey. Freeze for at least 2 hours or until frozen.....duh!

Cheesy Potato Dogs
This recipe is a family favorite! My Grammy Pauline would make this for us, then my mom made it, and now I make it for my kids.
Ingredients:
Mashed potato
Sliced cheese (I use Tillamook because it's cultured, not pasteurized)
Hot dogs ( I use applegate or Trader Joe's all beef dogs - no nitrites/nitrates)
Slice cold hot dogs down the middle to part, but do not slice completely. Spoon warm mashed potatoes down the middle. Then lay sliced cheese on tip. You can also use shredded cheese, however sliced stays better. Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until everything is warm and cheese is nice and melted.
